An complete cast copper alloy Post-Medieval buckle frame dating from about 1500-1650. The double loop oval frame has moulded knops at either end of a slightly recessed strap bar. The frame has been bent; the attached pin moves freely along the pin bar but has been worn to a point, no longer able to rest securely against the frame. The buckle frame has a light green patina flecked with dull yellow. Please see examples in Whitehead's (2003) Buckles, pages 54-55.
