A cast copper alloy Post Medieval mount. The object is in the shape of an acorn, with a length of stem projecting to the side of the acorn cup. The upper half of the mount represents the acorn and is separated from the lower half by two horizontal, parallel incised lines. The lower half of the body represents the acorn cup. There are two integral rivets on the reverse, one broken and one bent. This object was probably for mounting onto a strap, either a personal belt or a harness strap.
