An incomplete and worn cast copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval date. It is missing the bar due to old breaks and is slightly bent due to post-depositional damage. The frame is D-shaped in form, with offset bar that has projecting lugs at each end. It is circular in section with expanded outer edge and worn surfaces. The entire brooch measures 33.58mm in width (bent), 26.83mm in length (folded), 4.45mm in thickness and 4.93g in weight. This buckle frame is of Medieval date, c.13th-14th centuries AD.
