The upper wall of the vessel is vertical and the rim is plain. A curved flange projects outwards from the wall, beneath which the vessel angles inwards. The fabric varies between light grey and light orange in section, the outer surface has lines of black slip or painted decoration and the inner surface is also black in parts.
