An incomplete possible strap fitting of possible Roman date.

The fitting consists of a flattened strip of copper alloy sheet, with evidence of tearing at one end. The fitting is sub-rectangular in plan, narrowing in width toward the broken end. A punched offset perforation is visible, and there may be a second perforation where the strip has been torn. Neither face is decorated. The metalwork seems consistent with that of Roman date, but a later manufacture cannot be precluded.
