{"recordID":"486091","finds":[{"created2":"2012 02 02","description":"<p>A fragmentary harness pendant of Medieval date, <em>c<\/em>. 1150-1400.<\/p>\n<p>Originally, the harness pendant was probably rectangular or shield-shaped, though only a fragment or portion remains, the upper half with its cast integral suspection loop. The remaining pendant has also been folded into an L-shape.<\/p>\n<p>The pendant is decorated with three shields arranged side-by-side on a cross-hatched field. The devices on the shield are in low relief, as each shield-shape provided a cell for enamel, now missing. The central shield may bear traces of red enamel.
