<full>A copper alloy buckle from possibly for a shoe and dating to between 1720&#45;1790. The buckle is sub rectangular in plan and ornately decorated with an interlace pattern. The central part of the buckle is highly corroded, it is possible to see that there was a central stem. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The metal of the frame is green in colour and the object weighs 9.9g. It measures 37.34mm in length, 31.58mm in width and 7.96mm in thickness. For a parallel see Whitehead, R.
