An incomplete mount of late Medieval date, c. 1340-1550.
The mount is cast in copper-alloy , and consists of a circular body and saltire extending out of the body. The face in inscribed to continue the appearance of the arms on the body. The reverse is undecorated. One edge of the body bears evidence of a break in a slightly different corrosion biproduct.
