The full profile of this vessel has survived. It has an everted rim, prominent high shoulder and the sides taper evenly to the plain base. It is tempered with abundant crushed flint and contains tiny fragments of mica. On the inner side, just below the rim and also just above the base there are black deposits which appear to be organic. The outer and inner surfaces are dark grey and on the outside the rim is slashed and the shoulder is jabbed. This form of decoration is typical of many of these types of pots. The breaks appear to be old. Height: 151.0mm; maximum thickness (at base): 7.3mm; minimum thickness (at rim): 4.9mm. Weight: c. 305.0g. When complete, the rim would have had a diameter of c. 140.0mm and the base would have been c. 80.0mm.
