The cutting edge, which is worn and rounded, is wider than the rest of the axe with the sides curved slightly inwards and the tip appearing flared. The casting seams are not visible on the edges, but the axe appears very worn with notable loss of patina and signs of bronze disease on one face. Due to the incomplete nature of the axe and the poor state of preservation it has not been possible to identify it any further at this time.
