Post Medieval Buckle: Incomplete cast copper alloy double loop buckle frame. Only one of the loops survives in full, the pin is missing. The central strap bar is integrally cast and narrowed. The loops are D-shaped with the outer edges slightly flared. The front of the loops are decorated with incised decoration which appears to consist of simple lines radiating outwards although the detail is too worn to be certain. The rear of the loops are slightly concave with the decorated part being correspondingly convex. The loops are set at a slight upwards angle to the strap bar giving the buckle a splayed V-shape in profile.<\/p>\n
