The oval printing face has been incised with a Lombardic, highly stylised letter 'T', with a crown above and a pair of flanking palm fronds. The faceted handle tapers upwards from behind the printing face, before widening into a perforated lug. The artefact measures 25.5mm high, 15.1mm wide (height of printing face) and weighs 7.61g.
A signet ring with stylistically similar crowned letter 'T' was found in Salisbury, where it was dated to the late 15th or 16th century (Cherry in Saunders and Saunders eds. 1991: 42/fig. 12, no. 21).","","","2012-01-28 13:23:51","2012-01-28 13:28:00","4","","1","2012-01-07","","","","","1","1","1","1","","","3","1","","jwatters","Julian Watters","BH","jwatters","Julian Watters","Copper alloy","","","","Cast","","Complete","Good","Certain","MEDIEVAL","POST MEDIEVAL","","Metal detector","","Dr Martin Allen","","Mr Julian Watters","BUCKINGHAMSHIRE","","WYCOMBE","","","","","SP7806","SP70NE","","","","","","Longwick cum Ilmer","From Finder","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","367200","Med_seal_matrix_12_7_10.jpg","images/jwatters/",
