Lithic Implement: A single chunky blade fragment or possibly part of a multi-platform core. The blade has not had any retouching along the edges but scars of earlier removals are evident running at a diagonal angle across one of the faces which suggests a change in knapping direction.<\/p>\n
The flint is a mottled pale creamy beige-grey in colour. The patina of this flint is notably different to other pieces of flint, dated to the Neolithic, recorded from the same site.<\/p>\n
Dated to the late Mesolithic, c.6500 to c.3500 BC.<\/p>\n
