These pieces are referred to as debitage as they have not been modified further in order to produce specific tools. The majority of the pieces consists of tertiary removals (with very little or no outer cortext remaining), this material primarily consists of flakes (a total of 23 pieces), although there is also one blade flake which is a secondary removal. The remainder of the debitage consists of a mixture of secondary, and possibly some primary removals, with more extensive cortex coverage and with the removals being notably thicker and less uniform in shape and size suggesting that these removals formed part of the preparation stage of the core.
The flint varies in colour from deep brownish-grey to a paler creamy beige-grey.
Dated to the Neolithic, c.3500 BC to 2100 BC.
