{"recordID":"484516","finds":[{"created2":"2012 01 26","description":"<p>A cast copper-alloy mount of probable Medieval date, <em>c<\/em>. 1300-1500.<\/p>\n<p>The mount is probably a fragment of a larger object, made from a cast sheet of copper alloy. The remaining portion consists of a cruciform terminal with three fanshaped lobes emerging from the end of a rectangular arm. Each lobe has a triangular projection in the middle of its outer edge, though the projection of the central lobe (opposite the arm) is missing. A circular perforation can be seen at the base of each projection and where the arm joins the lobes.
