Copper alloy possible spoon fragment. Cast tang, bolster and stub of stem of a whittle tanged item of cutlery; the tang would have been inserted into a handle of wood or bone. A knife would be of iron or steel, while forks were introduced as tableware at a late date and are therefore relatively uncommon finds, so this is perhaps from a spoon. The moulding of a bolster is mainly for decorative effect. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1650-1800.
