The mount consists of probable sub-rectangular body with concave side lengths, and an extended rectangular terminal with a slightly flared end. The mount is broken at each end. The break at the wider end has the body bent and may be indicative of a hinge or some other type of fitting. The body has incised decoration of two lines that parallel each other with diagonal moulding in between, emulating a cord, tracing the outline of the object. The reverse is undecorated.
A very similar object, but in copper alloy and slightly more complete, was found nearby (NCL-955D55).","","","2012-01-20 11:59:28","2012-01-23 09:51:00","4","1","1","2011-03-31","2011-11-24","","","","1","1","1","1","","","1","1","Include in MedArch","rcollins","Robert Collins","NCL","rcollins","Robert Collins","Lead Alloy","","","","Cast","","Incomplete","Good","Certain","POST MEDIEVAL","POST MEDIEVAL","","Metal detector","","Dr Robert Collins","","Dr Robert Collins","NORTHUMBERLAND","ULGHAM","CASTLE MORPETH","","","","NZ2392","NZ2392","NZ29SW","","","","","","","From Finder","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","365317","IMG_8753.jpg","images/rcollins/",
