A cast copper alloy Medieval composite strap end, probably dating to the 14th century. It is sub rectangular in plan, with a rounded end, and with a projection at the end in the shape of a trefoil. There is a copper alloy rivet at the other end where one of the sheet plates has broken off at the circular terminal. The remaining plate has broken across the end at a slight angle. It is in fair condition with a dark green patina. It measures 34.17mm x 14.11mm and weighs 4.3 grams.
