A copper-alloy laver mount/escutcheon of Post-Medieval date.

The escutcheon has the form of a bearded, male face executed in a naturalistic, pseudo-classical style. A knop protrudes from the centre of the head at an angle, and the rounded groove indicates the use of the knop for the attachment of a handle.

The reverse is concave with a threaded, cylindrical shank protruding from the centre.
