UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT

Unique ID: LIN-C15924

Object type certainty: Certain

An ornate moulded strip of copper alloy, or perhaps silvered copper-alloy. The strip is curved in cross-section and appears to be complete on both long edges. The object is broken across both narrow ends. The object is decorated on one side only. The left field is decorated with ornate oval motifs with a circle separating them. The right hand field is formed by a ridge. The perimeter of the right hand field is smooth and appears to be original unless it is a neat cut done in antiquity. The object is possibly later Early Medieval.
