Incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger ring of Henig type VII dating to the 3rd century. The hoop and half of one shoulder are missing to old, worn breaks and the remaining fragment is badly corroded. The ring has a broad, flat bezel with convex curved sides and tapers evenly in width down the shoulders to the hoop. In the centre of the bezel is a raised oval transverse panel with bevelled sides and evidence of some indents in the flat top, but any design is unclear due to corrosion. The complete shoulder is flat and kneeled with a distinct carination between the shoulder and bezel and shoulder and hoop. It is 21.9mm wide, 14.7mm wide, 1.8mm thick excluding the panel on the bezel, 4.1mm including it. it weighs 4.65 grams.
