Obverse: Extreme corrosion - no details visible. Inscription: Illegible. Reverse: Extreme corrosion but possibly a letter 'C' from SENATUS CONSECTO Inscription: Illegible apart from the possible letter 'C' in the field. Mint name: Possibly Rome. The coin is in poor condition, very worn and very corroded with the edge nibbled or broken away completely. The corrosion has eaten right through the coin at one point and there is a rusty brown encrusted surface probably as a result of being found in water logged ground. This coin is likely to date to 43-199AD. Ref. Coins of England and the UK, Spink 2011, page 50-54.
