A worn and clipped silver penny of Late Medieval date. The remaining images and legend suggest this Durham mint coin may be from the early reign of Edward IV, muled with the obverse die from Henry VI's leaf-pellet issue of 1445-1454 (see Wren 1995: 118; also North 1975: p. 65, no. 1511 and p. 68, no. 1542).

Dimensions: 17.8mm diameter, 0.3mm thick; weight: 0.95g.
