Obverse depicts crowned bust facing left with Tudor Rose behind head right; legend: ELIZABETH DG ANG[L] FR(A?) ET HI REGINA. The 'A' in 'FRA' and the 'B' in HIB seems to be completely missing from the legend, although it is possible traces of the 'A' remain. Reverse depicts a square-topped royal shield with long cross fourchee and date '1578' above; legend: POSVI-DEV AD-IVTOR-EM MEV'. Cf.
