An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman button and loop fastener, with only the loop surviving. It is a Wild Class IX. It is circular in plan, and D shape in section (with a flat reverse). There is a single broken protrusion on the reverse, which was the probably the connection to the button portion. It is in good condition, with a dark green patina. There are some old shallow breaks, or chips along the loop.
