An 11th-century silver late early-medieval penny of Harthacnut (1035-1042 AD), possibly minted in the name of Cnut, ' Arm and Sceptre' type, struck by the moneyer Leofing (probably) at the London mint (1040-1042 AD; North 799; cf. EMC number 1021.1062).
This coin survives very well.
Notes:
These coins were initially thought to be posthumous issues of Cnut but are now sometimes argued to be an abbreviated or alternative form of Harthacnut.
