The strap end is 'tongue-shaped' in plan and rectangular in section, with a split end retaining one of two rivets on the reverse face of the split end. The display face of the strap end has a central raised rib in low relief which has been separated into small squares. To either side of this rib are two parallel columns of punched ring-and-dot decoration, with an extra pair on the rightside panel.
