A post medieval copper alloy mount with two integral attachment spikes. The mount is oval with a narrowed centre; the central section has a ring or ridge decorated across its width. On the reverse of the mount are two spikes, one is complete and curves back towards the mount. The other is straight but the tip has broken away. It measures 22.0mm (length) x 9.8mm (width) x 14.5mm (thickness) and weighs 4.05g.<\/p>\n
