Note from Sam Moorhead: This coin is from a large issue with 267 obverse and 334 reverse dies recorded. It is one of the earlier Republican coins recorded with the PAS, and is the earliest from Gloucestershire on the PAS Database. The oldest denarius dates to the late 3rd century BC - BERK-65D307 - struck over sixty years before this piece.

This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
