Cast lead spindle whorl probably dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The object is circular in plan and slightly conical. The object has a central circurlar perforation. The object is decorated with worn linear decoration which expands out from the perforation. The opposite face is undecorated. The object has a light white patina.

Similar examples of spindle whorls have reportedly been found in contexts dated from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period although the majority are typically dated broadly to the Medieval period c.1066-1500.
