The brooch has D-shaped wings either side of the head. The bow arches outwards and terminates in a break just below the head. A semi-circular ridge seperates the head from the wings at either side. The wings are decorated with a diagonal band running from the head outwards, which contains horizontal ridges. The base of the head of the brooch is decorated with a large X beneath the bow. On either side of the X is a circular depression. The pin of the brooch is missing. The object has a dark brown patina.<\/p>\n\n
