There is no pin recess and the pin is missing. The strap bar terminates with lobed protrusions on either end. The buckle frame is complete. The buckle is a dark greyish-brown colour and the surface is very pitted. These buckles date from circa 1600 - 1700. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p82.
