Circumstances of discovery: Whilst searching with a metal detector
Date: Medieval 13th-14th Century
Description: Silver annular brooch, complete with pin. The frame is circular in plan and also in cross section and is plain with no decoration. The pin, also silver, is a slightly flatten circular in cross section and is looped around the frame. There is no pin constriction and the pin moves freely around the frame.
Diameter: 19.6mm, thickness: 1.52mm, weight: 1.03grams

The object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal and is over 300 years old. Consequently it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content.
