"459535","LIN-39A9E7","PAS4E539A9E001ED3","TORC","","","32","","","","19","1","","","IRON AGE","10","199","Fragment of a solid cast copper-alloy torc or armlet dating to the late Iron Age or Roman period. The object comprises three solid reels joined in the centre by a solid circular shank. The shank is incomplete at both ends. The central reel is rectangular in cross-section and flat. The flanking reels however are plano-convex in cross-section with the flat side facing the interal reel. The reels are worn and corroded but they may bear a series of indentations around their circumferences. The object is slightly curved in plan suggesting that this item was once a large armlet or a neck torc.
The reels measure 19mm in diameter and 6mm thick. The central shank measures circa 10mm in diameter.
Compare with SWYOR-1740A7, DENO-B0A936 and LIN-65A032, though all three examples are hollow cast.","","","2011-08-23 13:18:39","2011-08-23 13:26:00","4","","3","","","","","","1","3","1","1","","","3","1","","adaubney","Adam Daubney","LIN","adaubney","Adam Daubney","Copper alloy","","","","Cast","","Fragment","","Possibly","IRON AGE","ROMAN","","Metal detector",""," Adam Daubney",""," Adam Daubney","LINCOLNSHIRE","","EAST LINDSEY","","","","","TF5266","TF56NW","","","","","","Burgh le Marsh","From Map","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","342618","LIN2011-854.jpg","images/adaubney/",
