The brooch is incomplete, missing some of the spring, pin, and catchplate. The entire brooch has been cast in one, with two coils of the spring remaining. The bow is broadest at the head, which forms hooks up from the spring then tapers down to the foot. Simple moulded decoration of horizontal rectangles is found on the bow.There is a break at the base of the bow and triangular catchplate.
