A cast copper-alloy object of uncertain form, probably a mount or similar object. It has the remains of an incomplete openwork plate that has a trefoil/trifoliate shaped terminal at one corner and parts of two rectangular arms set at right angles to one another, both of which terminate in old breaks. On the back face of the object is a single integrally cast cylindrical rivet. All surfaces have a dark brown patina that is worn in places, particularly around the edges and on the back face, with some pitting and pale green corrosive copper-alloy products. It measures 25.58mm in length, 26.02mm in width, 1.88mm in thickness, and 3.53g in weight.
This is an incomplete decorative openwork object, probably a mount and perhaps utilised on furnishings, a box, book or similar item. It is of uncertain date, although its form might suggest a Post-Medieval or later rather than earlier date.
