COIN

Unique ID: SUSS-9E5D96

Object type certainty: Certain

A worn Medieval silver long cross penny probably of Henry V (1413-1422 AD). The obverse legend appears to read HENRICU' DI GRA REX ANGL. The closest legend form to this relates to a penny of Henry V; albeit there is an 'S' placed at the end of HENRICUS. The reverse legend is conventional as CIVITAS LONDON indicating the coin was minted in London. No specific reference could be found for the obverse legend variation but the coin is still most probably contemporary with Henry V.
