A cast copper alloy Iron Age one piece La Tené III brooch, dating to the early first century AD (c. AD 20-43). The brooch is incomplete; the main body of the bow and the catchplate is all that survives, and this is distorted and bent. The bow itself widens fromthe spring end down towards the foot and is shouldreed just above the bent catchplate. The bow is decorated with a central row of chevrons running vertically down the bow; there are two moulded ribs running across the width of the bow just above the catchplate.
