A copper-alloy nummus of Constantine I. Mint is Trier, 322-323, Reece period 16. Obverse shows Laureate and cuirassed bust rght, holdng eagle tipped sceptre. Obverse legend reads CONSTANTINVS AVG. Reverse shows altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX surmounted by globe, three stars above. Reverse legend reads BEATA TRANQVILLITAS. Reverse mint mark shows: //.PTR. Reference: RIC VII, p.197, no.369. Die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 2.96g, diameter is 19.15mm.

Notes:

It was deemed unlikely that the coins, reported as a possible hoard (2010 T717), form a single group. It is more likely that they represent single losses and therefore, that the balance of the evidence does not suggest that this group would constitute Treasure under the terms of the Treasure Act 1996.
