COIN
Unique ID: LVPL-1BD327
Object type certainty: Certain
A complete struck / hammered copper alloy nummus of House of Valentinian (364 to 378 AD), of uncertain mint but minted between 364 and 378 AD.
Diameter: 16.05mm
Thickness: 1.13mm
Weight: 1.3 grams.
Coin was photographed.
Notes:
Originally submitted as part of a dispersed hoard (2010T211 / LVPL-305E93). However the hoard has the appearance of an accumulation of losses from different periods over the course of the second, third and fourth centuries AD. The coins were therefore not deposited together as a hoard, and instead form a series of technically separate finds as a result of random deposition over a period of time. Therefore the coins have been recorded individually.
