A complete struck / hammered copper alloy nummus of Valentinian I (364 to 375 AD), minted in Arles between 364 and 375 AD.

Thickness: 1.55mm
Weight: 2.0 grams.

Coin was photographed.

Notes:

Originally submitted as part of a dispersed hoard (2010T211 / LVPL-305E93). However the hoard has the appearance of an accumulation of losses from different periods over the course of the second, third and fourth centuries AD. The coins were therefore not deposited together as a hoard, and instead form a series of technically separate finds as a result of random deposition over a period of time. Therefore the coins have been recorded individually.
