<full>A broken cast copper&#45;alloy buckle frame of post&#45;medieval, probable 17th century date. Only half of the frame survives. It was originally trapezoidal in shape with pointed ends and ovoid knops on the corners and lobed protrusions at the end of the strap bar. There is moulded floral decoration on the front of the frame, whilst the reverse is undecorated. Tracing of tinning or silvering remain. It measures 33.66 mm long, 39.43 mm wide, 2.68 mm thick and weighs 7.8 grams. It has a green to brown patina. Similar to an example illustrated in Whitehead (1996, page 83; fig 520).</full>
