AD1400-1600. The mount is complete but the surfaces are very worn. The mount is composed of two elements: a cast cu-alloy ornamental folded over strip of metal and large iron rivet that would have held the mount in place. The folded-over cast cu-alloy strip was oblong-shaped with a plain terminal on the reverse and a more decorative terminal on the obverse. The obverse terminal is leaf-shaped with a moulded rim and small fleur-de-lys. The rim frames what looks like a floral pattern, but the iron corrosion of the rivet is too thick to be certain about the motif.","","","2011-03-16 15:00:44","2011-03-31 11:43:00","4","","1","2011-02-18","","","","","1","1","1","1","","","3","1","","dboughton","Dot Boughton","LANCUM","dboughton","Dot Boughton","Copper alloy","","","","Cast","","Complete","","Certain","MEDIEVAL","POST MEDIEVAL","","Metal detector","","Mrs Dot Boughton","","Mrs Dot Boughton","CUMBRIA","","BARROW IN FURNESS","","","","","SD2575","SD27NE","","","","","","Lindal","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","321087","KDMDCW0D09C5.jpg","images/dboughton/",
