A damaged and misshapen Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant (c. 1175-c. 1300). The body of the pendant is circular with a circular perforation at the centre. It has a suspension shaft and loop turned through 90° to the body. A raised outline of a six-pointed star surrounds the hole at the centre. The field outside the star is filled with raised randomly placed annulets. Minute traces of gilding can be seen over the annulets but not within the star. The rear face is plain and no gilding can be seen. This pendant is fractured and in poor condition. 34.2 x 23.9 x 5.4mm. Weight: 3.33g.
