A Post Medieval lead alloy and glass cuff link fastener dating late 17th - mid 18th century. This cuff link is discoidal with a convex front and back. There is an inset, faceted, green glass stone set within the lead alloy cuff link. The lead alloy section has been decoratively cast with a beaded rim and two linear grooves below. The shank has been cast integrally with the button; there is a break across the loop for attachment. The link and other fastener which would comprise this cufflink are missing.<\/p>

Read (2005:99) illustrates two very similar examples nos. 391 and 392 although they have differently coloured glass the construction and decoration is the same. Read suggests a date range of late 17th - mid 18th century and notes examples are also known in silver and gold.<\/p>
