The ring is less than half visible, but is circular or sub-circular in section with a minimum diameter of 53mm.

X-ray has revealed the full extent of the ring, as well as a possible interlinked but smaller second ring, and some other linear object with a rounded head.

This is probably related to another corroded lump of iron bearing a ring and sockets that has been tentatively dated to the 6th century, when there was a known episode of burial on the site.","","","2011-02-15 12:13:55","2011-02-22 14:31:00","4","","1","2010-12-01","2011-02-01","","","","1","1","1","1","","","1","1","","rcollins","Robert Collins","NCL","rcollins","Robert Collins","Iron","","","","Cast","","Complete","Fair","Certain","EARLY MEDIEVAL","EARLY MEDIEVAL","Anglo-Saxon","Metal detector","","Dr Robert Collins","","Dr Robert Collins","NORTHUMBERLAND","","ALNWICK","","","","","NU0312","NU01SW","","","","","","Field 26","From Finder","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","317773","IMG_5715.jpg","images/rcollins/",
