A set of at least three cast copper alloy conical sockets, possibly spear sockets, that is part of a larger iron-corrosion aglomeration, probably of 6th century date, and possibly part of an Anglo-Saxon burial.<\/p>

The sockets are obscured by iron agglomeration, and the appearance of the sockets are also that of iron, but the differential preservation and partial presence on an X-ray indicates a copper-alloy production. One socket is more clearly visible than the other two, for which only the open base can be seen.<\/p>
