This body sherd includes the shoulder of the vessel which is decorated with two bands of roller stamped decoration.  The decoration comprises 'X's and 'I's alternate with some variations on the number of 'I's.  The fabric is red buff with the outer margin being grey.  There is a green glaze on the external surface with some spots of glaze on the internal surface.


Roy Stephenson notes this particular roller stamped decoration has not been recorded before.
