The badge has been cast in the form of a Lombardic 'S' with decorative pellets in place of serifs. On the reverse are the remains of the integral pin; the end is broken and missing. The shape of the badge is slightly distorted.

A similar badge is published in Egan & Pritchard (1991:202 no. 1095) which came from a context dated 1400-1450. The published example is slightly different in that the entire surface is decorated with pellets.

Dimensions: length: 17.73mm; width: 16.54mm; thickness: 2.51mm; weight: 1.80g.
