An incomplete and misshapen Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy thimble (c. 1400-c. 1550). It is possible that the thimble is an open type. However the crown may be missing due to a break.
The sides slope inwards slightly from the bottom to the ragged top. The walls have 6-7 spiralling sub-circular indentations. No patina has survived. 24.3 x 15.9 x 2.0mm. Thickness at rim: 0.3mm. Weight: 2.89g.
